Overhead Cable Laying Specifications

 
The path selection of cables should meet the following requirements:

1.Cables should be protected from mechanical force, overheating, corrosion and so on.

2.Under the conditions that meet the safety requirements, the shortest cable path should be ensured.

3.It should be easy to lay and maintain.

4.It is advisable to avoid places where construction will be excavated.

5.When the oil-filled cable line passes through the undulating terrain, the oil supply device should be properly configured.

The location where the cable is changed from top to bottom or left to right in any laying method and all path conditions shall meet the allowable bending radius of the cable.

The allowable bending radius of the cable shall comply with the cable insulation and its structural characteristics. For self-contained lead-oil-filled cables, the allowable bending radius can be calculated as 20 times the cable diameter.
